Reducing inequality
Housing, food, and everything else has become so expensive that many people dread paying their bills each month. Norway’s billionaires have doubled their wealth in the past 10 years, while everyday people struggle more and more. The differences are too big. People need more financial security.

We want to:
● Introduce fairer taxation. People with normal incomes should pay less tax, while those who have the most should contribute more.
● Increase child benefits to ensure economic security for families with children.
● Create more jobs for young people and lower the cost of sports and leisure activities.

Strengthen welfare
The welfare is under threat. Schools, kindergartens, and health services are being shut down, and there are too few employees on duty. The right wing prioritizes tax cuts for the rich over welfare for all. SV wants to put the community first and strengthen the welfare system. There is no lack of money, only a lack of just distribution.

We want to:
● Ensure there are enough people at work. We will invest more in schools, kindergartens, and the healthcare system.
● Ensure every penny goes to welfare, not into the pockets of big investment companies.
● Expand welfare. We want free SFO (after-school programs) and cheaper dental care.

The climate crisis must be solved
Nature is being destroyed at record speed and the planet is heating up. That’s why we must protect nature, cut emissions, and create new green jobs. If you agree that the climate and nature crisis must be addressed, you should vote SV.

We want to:
● Stop the destruction of nature. We must take care of our forests, rivers, and farm lands. Damaged nature, like the Oslofjord, must be restored.
● Invest in a green transition. We’re campaigning for Norway to meet its climate goals and create new jobs.
● Improve public transport. We want to fix the train chaos, improve bus services, and reduce Ruter’s fares.

International solidarity
The world needs leaders who lead the fight for democracy, solidarity, and cooperation. When Trump and Putin threaten, we must defend democracy. When there is a risk of genocide, we must stand up for international law. When global inequality grows, we must stand with the world’s poor.

We want:
● A free Palestine. Impose sanctions on Israel. The Oil Fund must divest from war and occupation.
● A free Ukraine. We must continue supporting Ukraine’s fight for freedom.
● To show more solidarity with the world’s poor. Norway’s efforts against global inequality and the climate crisis must be doubled.
